Workpaper Navigation
Updated over a week ago

When you first create a workpaper you are opened to the workpaper dashboard. For more information on this, check out our article on the Dashboard Overview.

Within the workpaper, you will see a sidebar (pictured below). This sidebar will be your key point of navigation through the workpaper.

The following are all the pages available in the workpaper from the sidebar:

  • Dashboard: Your central hub to check the workpaper information, progress, and summary of blockers

  • Procedures: The list of procedures derived from the assigned Procedure template, their completion/not applicable status, and an audit trail of completion.

  • Trial Balance: The lead sheet for compliance jobs, showing the trial balance imported or retrieved via ledger integrations. See the current amount, last year (LY) amount, and status for each account's worksheet.

  • Other Schedules: The lead sheet for non-trial balance items (like Tax Recs, Borrowing Costs, etc.) that are required for the workpaper to be completed. These are non-standard and created by users during the workpaper preparation.

  • Journals: Create draft journals to propose corrections, view drafted journals for posting to connected ledger, and void posted journals.

  • Files: Manage the files added to the workpaper, either manually or via an integration. Browse the file directory throughout Cimplico Workpapers to reference files from previous workpapers, or other entities.

  • Internal Comments: View all the Active and Resolved Internal Comments raised on the workpaper.

  • Client Queries: View all the Draft, Active and Resolved Internal Comments raised on the workpaper.

  • Settings: Update details of the workpaper, such as its period, due date, templates, and assignees.

๐Ÿ—’๏ธ Note

Only the current assigned Approver(s) or the Firm Administrator can change assigned Approvers on a workpaper.

At the top of the sidebar, you can click on the drop-down to get a list of current workpapers within the group.

You can easily search for specific accounts with the search bar.
