What are worksheets?

The worksheet screen is one of the main components of Cimplico Workpapers, and is likely to be where the majority of work is conducted from. It's where the preparation work is done and is the vehicle for facilitating the evidencing process.

What's in a worksheet?

Every worksheet has three primary sections.

  • Header: Worksheet information and action buttons

  • Tabbed Content: Dependent on the type of worksheet selected

  • Sidebar: Location for internal comments, client queries and review conditions

What are the types of worksheets?

Worksheet Types

Purpose

Default Worksheets

Used for preparing trial balance accounts and reconciling trial balance figures back to supporting evidence.

Generic Worksheets

Used to document working notes or supporting information that doesn’t require reconciliation amounts.

Inter-Entity Worksheets

Used to ensure a trial balance account in one entity aligns with one or more trial balance accounts in another entity.

New: Creation Worksheets (if you have access to our Beta release of BAS and FBT workpapers!)

Used in BAS and FBT workpapers. Instead of reconciling back to a trial balance amount, you're building the figure from the ground up. The entries you create are totalled, and that total becomes the amount pushed through to the leadsheet.

Where are worksheets located?

Worksheets in Cimplico Workpapers are organised into different areas depending on your workpaper type. They can live in:

  • Trial Balance

  • Leadsheets (Beta)

  • Other Schedules
