No, you don’t need to set up integrations to use Cimplico Workpapers. The platform is fully functional even if you’re not a Xero or FYI user. However, for the best experience, we recommend using these integrations if they are available to you.
What if I don’t use Xero or FYI?
You can still optimise your workflow by following these suggestions:
Onboarding Groups and Entities: Use the CSV import feature to bulk-upload groups and entities, saving you time during the setup process.
Working with Trial Balances: Import trial balances manually using a CSV file
💡 Tip for Working with the Trial Balance: To minimise the need to re-upload your CSV trial balance:
Perform all your work, including journals, directly in Cimplico Workpapers rather than making changes outside the platform.
Double-check and align your report codes (in the report code column) with your checklist before uploading. This reduces the chance of manual updates or errors.
If you anticipate journaling to accounts that don’t have figures for the current or prior year, add these accounts as line in your CSV (with no debit/credit figures) in the trial balance. This ensures you can create journals against them when needed.
