Assigning entities to groups in Cimplico Workpapers allows you to better organise and manage related clients or structures. There are multiple ways to add entities to a group, depending on your workflow and what’s most convenient at the time.
Option 1: Add entities from the firm entity list
This method is ideal for bulk assignments or when you need to search, sort, or filter to find the entities before assigning them.
Steps
Navigate to the Entities list from the main header.
Use the checkboxes to select the entities you want to assign to a group, utilising searching, sorting and filtering where necessary.
Click Assign to Group and select the appropriate group from the dropdown.
Confirm your selection by selecting Assign

Option 2: Add an Entity via the Entity’s Settings
This method is helpful if you’re already working on an entity’s details screen.
Steps
Go to the Entity’s Settings page.
In the Details section, locate the Group field and select the desired group from the dropdown.
Click Save to update the entity.

You’re already viewing or editing an entity’s details.

Option 3: Add or Remove Entities from the Group’s Screen
This method is useful if you’re on the group’s page and want to quickly manage multiple entities within that group.
Steps
Navigate to the Group’s Screen and click Edit Details.
Add entities to the group by selecting them from the available list.
Remove entities by selecting the cross as needed.
Save your changes to update the group.
