Permanent files aren’t a specific type of file in Cimplico Workpapers. Instead, they’re typically copies of important documents you’d like to retain for ongoing reference, such as those that apply across multiple years.
You can store these files anywhere in the system, including within a worksheet, workpaper, or entity. However, we recommend saving them at the entity level. This serves as a common access point.
💡 Tip: Saving files at the entity level avoids the need to navigate through multiple layers of the file system (e.g., from a worksheet to a workpaper, back to the entity, and forward to another workpaper or worksheet). This approach makes finding and referencing permanent files much faster and more efficient.
