No, you cannot create custom folders in the Cimplico Workpapers file system. The folder structure is predefined as follows:

Folder Structure

  1. Firm Level

    • Contains all groups in the firm, including entities not belonging to any group.

  2. Group Level

    • Contains a list of entities within the selected group.

  3. Entity Level

    • Contains a list of workpapers associated with the selected entity.

  4. Workpaper Level

    • Contains all files saved for a specific workpaper, including folders for each worksheet.

Files can be stored at any of these levels, depending on their relevance.

Alternative for Organising Files

If you require a folder-like structure, consider creating a generic worksheet in the “Other Schedules” section of a job to collate and organise certain documents. This approach ensures files remain grouped without needing additional folders.
