Use this article to understand how Cimplico Workpapers organises files, so you know where to look for something saved outside your current workpaper.
Every file belongs to one place in a fixed structure: firm, group, entity, workpaper, worksheet - similar to a shared drive like Dropbox. Most of the time, you'll only work with files inside a single workpaper.
ℹ️ Files Structure: Firm → Group → Entity → Workpaper → Worksheet
Entities that aren't in a group skip the Group level. Their files sit directly under the entity.
Accessing files from the group overview
Go to the group or entity overview screen to see files stored above workpaper level. You can then select into any of these entities to continue down the filing structure.
Accessing files from your workpaper
From within a workpaper, go to Files page and work backwards through the hierarchy to see files saved at a different level.
You can reference a file from anywhere in the hierarchy directly on a worksheet. See Adding files, links, and references.
