Certifying and completing a workpaper in Cimplico Workpapers ensures users have completed their duties correctly during the preparation, review, and approval of a workpaper. Follow these steps to complete the process:

  1. Go to the workpaper dashboard: Review progress rings and job summaries to check overall completion.

  2. Open the Certification Button: Click the Certification button to view requirements.

  3. Review Requirements: Check for green ticks (met) or red crosses (unmet). If all requirements are met, the Certify button will be active.

  4. Certify for your role (or below): Certify tasks relevant to your role by selecting the Certify button.

    • Preparer: Certify as preparer

    • Reviewer: Certify as reviewer and on behalf of preparer if required.

    • Approver: Certify as approver and on behalf of preparer and reviewer if required.

  5. Completing the Workpaper (Approver Only):

  6. After certifying, the approver will see a pop-up prompting them to Complete the Workpaper.

ℹ️ Note: Completing the workpaper moves it from Open to Completed status and locks it to a read-only file. Only the assigned approver or firm administrator can unlock the file.
