How do checklists work for Other Schedules?

Checklists in Cimplico Workpapers aren’t just for Trial Balance worksheets - they also work with Other Schedules, and it’s now easier than ever with Other Schedule templates.

How it works

Checklists are assigned using tags. If a worksheet has a tag that matches a checklist item, the checklist will appear on that schedule automatically.

Templates make it simple

With Other Schedule templates, you can:

  • Pre-define schedules and include the correct tags

  • Automatically assign checklist items when the workpaper is created

  • Avoid manual setup and tagging errors

🧠 Example

Let’s say you want to make sure your Annual Compliance jobs are fully set up with the right checklists.

Your Checklist Template might include these tags (along with many others to cover most accounts in the Chart of Accounts):

Tag

Used for checklist items like…

ASS.CUR.CAS.BAN

Bank account tasks (e.g. attaching bank recs and statements)

ASS.CUR.INY

Stock/inventory-related tasks

FS

Financial statement tasks

ITR

Income Tax Return tasks

PAY

Payment slips tasks

You’d then create an Other Schedule template with:

  • Financial Statements → Tag: FS

  • Income Tax Return → Tag: ITR

Result:

When a workpaper is created using both the checklist and Other Schedule templates:

  • Checklist items will be assigned to the correct location based on their tag

  • Some tasks will appear in Trial Balance worksheets (e.g. bank or inventory)

  • Others will appear in the relevant Other Schedules (e.g. FS, ITR)
