Internal comments in Cimplico Workpapers can have one of two statuses: active or resolved, depending on whether follow-up action is required.

Active Internal Comments

  • Internal comments are created as active by default when added.

  • They indicate that follow-up or further action is required.

  • Impact:

    • A worksheet cannot be marked as reviewed if it has active internal comments.

    • The workpaper as a whole cannot be certified while any active comments remain.

Resolved Internal Comments

  • Internal comments are marked as resolved once no further action is needed.

  • The comment thread remains available for reference and record-keeping but no longer holds up the review or certification process

💡 Tip: If you’re leaving a comment as a note or observation that doesn’t require follow-up, you can mark it as resolved immediately after creating it to avoid blocking the review or certification process.
