Yes, you can create private workpapers in Cimplico Workpapers.
When setting up a workpaper, there is a toggle option that allows you to make the workpaper private. Once private, only the assignees of the workpaper (preparer, reviewer, approver, external users and guests) and firm administrator can view the contents of the workpaper.
Additionally, you can change an existing workpaper to private—or remove its private status—at any time during the process.
ℹ️ Note: Once a Workpaper is set up, only an administrator or approver can change the privacy settings of a workpaper.
To do this:
Head to the workpaper's settings
Ensure you are on the details tab
Scroll down and locate the security section
Toggle the privacy setting as required
Ensure you click save to lock in your changes
ℹ️ Note: At this time, it’s not possible to make an entire entity or group private. However, we’ve taken this feedback on board for future development!
⚠️ Warning: While the content within the workpaper (such as the trial balance, worksheets, and files) remains private, the Workpaper will still appear on the firm’s workpaper list. This means users can view details such as the Workpaper Name, period end, Entity Name, last updated date, assigned user, and progress percentage.
