Yes, you can make an individual workpaper private in Cimplico Workpapers.
Making a workpaper private
When you set up a workpaper, use the private toggle to restrict access. A private workpaper is visible only to its assigned users — the preparer, reviewer, approver, External Users and guests — and to the firm's Administrator.
Changing the privacy setting on an existing workpaper
You can add or remove a workpaper's private status at any time.
ℹ️ Note: Only an Administrator or Approver can change a workpaper's privacy setting.
To change the privacy setting:
Open the workpaper's settings.
Select the Details tab.
Scroll to the Security section.
Toggle the privacy setting on or off.
Click Save.
Your change applies immediately and the toggle reflects the new setting.
ℹ️ Note: You can't currently make an entire entity or group private - only individual workpapers. We've logged this as a request for future development.
⚠️ Warning: A private workpaper's content (trial balance, worksheets, and files) stays hidden, but the workpaper itself still appears on the firm's workpaper list. Other users can see its name, period end, entity name, last updated date, assigned user, and progress percentage.
