Configuring Your API Key for Cimplico Workpapers
Log in to Atosa
Go to Atosa and log in. Navigate to Tax Agent Management.Access Integrations
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Manage Integrations.Enable Integration with Cimplico
You’ll see a list of existing integrations. If Cimplico isn’t listed, click Enable New Integration. A window will appear where you can select "Cimplico" from a list. You may also tick Enable API access for newly imported taxpayers by default to give Cimplico access to any future taxpayers.Click Okay when you're done.
Create a New API Key
Once Cimplico is listed as an enabled integration, click the green + (plus) icon next to it to create a new API key. Enter a label for the key. We recommend “Cimplico Workpapers” or another relevant name.
Copy Your API Key
After clicking Create New Key, a window will display your new API key. Copy the API key before closing the window, as it won’t be accessible once closed. Use the copy button beside the key to make this easier.
NOTE: Keep the popup open until you’ve pasted the key into Cimplico Workpapers.
Configure the Atosa Integration in Cimplico Workpapers
Go to Firm Settings in Cimplico Workpapers
Click the Integrations tab and select Configure on the Atosa integration card
Paste the API key into the provided field, then click Save. This action will verify the key with Atosa, which may take a few seconds.
If you receive an error, double-check the key. For ongoing issues, contact support. Once verified, the key will appear with an option to replace it in the future if necessary.
Enabling Taxpayer Access
To allow Cimplico Workpapers to integrate with Atosa taxpayers:
Open the API Access Management Page
Navigate back to Tax Agent Management in Atosa. Next to Cimplico, click the person icon to access the API Access Management page.
Enable Access for Each Taxpayer
For each taxpayer you want to connect to Cimplico Workpapers, tick the Enable API Access checkbox.If you want to enable access for all taxpayers, click Enable integration for all eligible taxpayers at the bottom of the list.
Linking Atosa Taxpayers to Cimplico Workpaper Entities
Access the Integration in Each Entity
In Cimplico Workpapers, go to each entity, open the Integrations tab, and click Configure for the Atosa integration.Link Taxpayers to Entities
A list of all available taxpayers will be shown. Select the taxpayer you wish to link and click Save.If a taxpayer is already linked to another entity in Cimplico, it will be marked with a tooltip showing the linked entity, and it won’t be selectable.
Updating Taxpayer Links
To change a taxpayer link, first click Remove to disconnect the current link, then select and save the correct taxpayer.
Congratulations 🎉 - Workpapers for this entity will now be able to utilise Atosa calculations.
