ℹ️ Note
Billing settings are only accessible by the firm admin in your Cimplico Workpapers firm.
The date you start using Cimplico Workpapers following your trial becomes your annual commitment start date. For users on Yearly billing, this is when you will be charged for your subscription renewal.
You can find your renewal date under Plan Commitment on your Billing and Subscription page.
What happens on the renewal date?
Depending on your billing arrangement, at the time of your renewal one of the following will occur:
Yearly Billing Period
You receive one bill for the total cost of all your entities for the entire year.
Monthly Billing Period (Annual Commitment)
You agree to a yearly commitment, paying this amount over 12 instalments (monthly). This is beneficial for firms managing a large number of entities and seeking to distribute payments throughout the year.
When switching from annual to monthly billing, the change is queued and takes effect at the start of your next annual commitment period.
Custom Agreement for Enterprise Customers
If you are an enterprise customer, you may request a custom billing agreement tailored to your specific needs.
Switching the Billing Period
⚠️ Important
Changing from Annual to Monthly Billing must be done prior to the plan renewal date.
Switching from Annual to Monthly Billing
The change will be queued and will take effect at the start of your next annual commitment period. This allows you to begin monthly payments at the start of the new renewal year.
Switching from Monthly to Annual Billing
The change will take effect at the beginning of the next billing period (the start of the next month). Once this switch is made, you will be locked into annual billing for the next year before you can change your billing period again.
Warning: Before switching your billing period, ensure you are certain of your decision. Each switch has specific conditions and timing implications.
Changing Subscription Tiers
Upgrading to a Higher Tier
When you change to a higher tier, the charges are applied immediately and prorated based on how far you are into your current billing period:
If on an annual commitment, your charge will be calculated as follows:
Total Charge = (Upper Tier Cost − Lower Tier Cost) × Number of Entities
E.g. You upgrade tiers any time during your Billing Period:
($20 - $15) × 100 = $500If on a monthly commitment, your charge will be calculated as follows:
Total Charge = (Upper Tier Cost − Lower Tier Cost) × (Number of Elapsed Months / 12) × Number of Entities
E.g. You upgrade tiers 9 months into your Billing Period:
($20 - $15) × (9 / 12) × 100 = $375
Downgrading to a Lower Tier
When you switch to a lower tier, the change is queued and will take effect at the start of your next billing period (either the next month or the next year, depending on your current billing schedule).
Warning: Ensure you understand the costs and implications of changing tiers before proceeding. For assistance or if you have any doubts, please contact our support team at [email protected].
