Procedures and checklists are a critical part of Cimplico Workpapers. You can read about what they are through our Core Concepts article Procedures & Checklists.

A great thing about these templates is you can configure them in the app and sync them to active workpapers for bulk updating. This is handy when you notice a change in legislation or you want to change the team's process.

💡 Note
Procedure and Checklists are both templated and you follow the same steps to create and edit.

Creating

To create your first template you need to follow these steps:

1. Download Template

Go to the Templates tab and click on Procedures or Checklists

Click on the default template that Cimplico has provided

Download the CSV template

2. New Template

Navigate to the back to the Procedure or Checklist page again and click New Template

Fill out the name and upload the CSV template that you just downloaded.

Editing

Now that you have a new template you can customise it for your firm.

When editing procedures/checklists you can perform the following tasks:

1. Edit Template: Edit template name

2. Download Template: Download template CSV file (to edit CSV and re-upload)

3. New Procedure/Item: Add a new item to the procedure list/checklist

4. New Category: Add a new section to the procedure list/checklist

5. Edit: Edit the Category

6. Delete: Delete the Category

7. Ellipses (3 dots): Edit Item

8. Delete Procedure: Click the check box and delete button as shown below.

9. Set as Default: Set as the default template when creating workpapers

10. Sync to Open Workpapers: Push the newest version of the template to all open workpapers (not closed workpapers)

⚠️Warning

By syncing the template to active workpapers you might revert the status of procedures or checklists and change the job's progress.
