If you’ve updated an Other Schedule template and want those changes to apply to open workpapers, you can use the Sync to Open Workpapers feature. This ensures consistency across jobs already in progress - without having to manually update each one.
ℹ️ Note: Templates can only be managed by Managers and Administrators. You won't be able to access the Templates section without either of these permissions.
⚠️ Before you begin: Syncing a template can affect open workpapers. It may reset progress or revert statuses for newly updated items. We recommend reviewing changes carefully before syncing.
What does syncing do?
When you sync an Other Schedule template to open workpapers, it will:
Add any new schedules from the updated template
Update existing schedules with the latest name, description, tag, and entity type
Not remove any existing schedules that aren’t in the new template (you’ll need to exclude these manually if no longer needed)
Step 1: Open the published template
Go to Templates → Other Schedules.
Open the template you want to sync (must be Published).
Review the template to ensure all details are correct.
Step 2: Sync the template
In the top-right corner, click Sync to Open Workpapers.
💡 After syncing
Any new or updated schedules will appear in the Other Schedules tab of affected workpapers.
If you no longer need outdated schedules, you can manually exclude them from those workpapers.
All updates apply across open workpapers using that template - closed workpapers are not affected.
